The economy was totally messed up, I dunno if I'd blame the game (developpers) though, moreso the huge amount of extremely greedy and generous players. By the end of this event I had 14000 gold, and that was after I was spending massively on the temple missions and dyes. I also had a full vault and inventory (fully upgraded inventory space) of valueable stuff, mostly crafting materials, runes, rare/high-stat items, upgrades, probably worth another 15k.
I saw People selling steel (and other stuff) for mad high prices, as well as tons of other stuff. personalyl I wouldn't sell mine for more than 150g each, although I don't think i ever ended up selling any, althoguh I think i gave 15 or so to somone who needed them.
I also saw runes and upgrades going for quite cheap, much cheaper than I'd say they're worth, which was usually around 70-250 for minor runes&upgrades.
Scales seemed to be virtually the only item at the trader that wasn't "buy for 15g each, sell for 1-5g each", and they were surprizingly valueable, they would buy at traders from anywhere from 30-90g each depending when you checked, and would sell for appropriate values, something like 20-60g each.
I think i had about 140 scales, again all I did was give them away. They were quite easy to come by. Only thing that seemed rare was silk this BWE. I didn't find one silk the entire BWE, but then again I didn't really do the jungle missions. They used to salvage from armors, but I didn't get any from them, I think they ethier removed, or made them extremely rare salvages from armors now (IMO armors are now just another monster trophy which never yields any rare materials anymore)
Which reminds me, so those monster trophies yield any rares? I tried experting them a bit, but stopped bothering pretty quick because it didn't yield anything.
On another note: anyone get more than 39 of a resource from one drop? I was kinda surprized when that much glittering dust dropped from some monster.
Oh yeah, fur squares were rare too right? I think i only found one, but dropped it cause I didn't have inventory space for it.
